How to Control Pet Hair in Your Vehicle

Pet-friendly shops, restaurants and parks await you and your furry friend. Don't let the thought of vacuuming your car afterwards dissuade you from spending a fun afternoon with your pet. Take a few precautions like covering your seats, stowing your pet in a carrier and giving them a good brushing before you leave to keep the pet hair at bay.

If you do end up with fur on your seats, there are a few tricks that will help to get rid of it quickly. Fabric softener can help to attract fine hairs, so mix a few spoonfuls into a plastic spray bottle and use this concoction to spray on your upholstery. Wearing rubber gloves, rub along your fabric in one direction. You'll notice stray hairs clumping together and this will make them easier to collect for disposal. You can also create a makeshift lint roller by taking packing tape and wrapping it around your hand with the sticky surface outward to roll up loose hairs.
